Triplets!

Hey my blog has the same birthday as occultronics and magictrash!
To celebrate the birth of its siblings, I decided to, you guessed it, create more minidungeons!

This time, themed to their first posts.
Let's start with some elven stuff.

Andune Outpost

In a forest, there is an old abandoned elven outpost. People believe that a silmaril is hidden there somewhere. This is almost true. Three elven families met here on neutral grounds and quarreled over which family has the right to keep the silmaril. The disagreement escalated and the elves started to kill each other. A single unnamed halfling that somehow got involved with the meeting escaped with the silmaril.

rumors:
  1. there are dark forces interested in finding the silmaril
  2. people say that orcs were spotted in that forest
  3. the outpost served as neutral meeting ground before its fall.
  4. apparently some elven families kept their riches in that outpost.
  5. sometimes people hear frightening shouts and wails coming from the forest
  6. a dragon is living in the forest and hoarding the silmaril! (false)
wandering monsters:
  1. 1d6 orcs
  2. Robber Fly
  3. 1d6 Killer Bees
  4. 1 Tiger Beetle
  5. 1 Wraith
  6. 1 Banshee

map key:
1: The overgrown entrance area to the small and hidden outpost. 5 Orks are shooting the shit here, laughing, hacking up plants, pissing on trees and being generally rather untasteful. They heard about the silmarils and want it for their dark lord. The entrance to 2 is trapped with an alarm trap that will start a loud and wailing elven song about living for too long.

2: this chaotic elven hall is in serious disarray. Killer Bees have a nest nearby, currently there are 5 in this room.

3: A Wraith is digging through some trash, they are also searching for the silmaril. Is pretty hostile.

4: This is an old and deserted guardroom. There is a elven platemail on a armor stand. Documents describe the upcoming meeting of the three elven families.

5: The room is magically locked. At the door is a riddle in elven:
Always old, sometimes new.
Never sad, sometimes blue.
Never empty, sometimes full.
Never pushes, always pulls.
Moonlight opens the door. Inside this festive hall are lots of elven skeletons.
The spirits of the elves didn't leave the place and still argue, around 100 years later.
They are not aware of the fact that they are dead and will turn immediately hostile to intruders, which realitycheck them. If observed, they seem to be stuck in a loop where they argue, drink, be petty and then start slaughtering each other. observant players might see that they sometimes are talking to somebody that is not there and apparently was sitting on a halfing-sized chair.
The ghosts will not turn hostile if a single male halfing interrupts them, mistaking him for the halfling that escaped with the silmaril.

6: An old elven vault. Almost completely empty. If the players search, they find some gold coins made from an old elven mint and a small magical knife that is in the back in one of the tresors. The vault seems like it was cleared in a hurry. In the dust are footprints that are almost not observable and pretty large for their small stride. The footprint of a halfling.

now, some trash stuff:

Magical Garbage Dump

Inside this cavern is a magical one-way portal that spews glowing magical garbage, cursed items and failures into a chasm. The dungeon is filled with dangerous magical energy, which Opossum people apparently are immune to. There is a small tribe living here, trading garbage magic items for other garbage magic items.

rumors:
  1. The big chasm radiates deadly energy
  2. It is heard that people came back with strange mutations from that dungeon
  3. Some people might have fallen in the pit before. beware.
  4. Some opossum people are trying to live there in peace
  5. Apparently the trash there is so radiated, that it gained conciousness and is haunting the halls
  6. the opossumfolk are a real cuddly bunch. (fuck no, they will bite you if you touch them)
wandering monsters:
  1. 1d6 opossum people
  2. 1d6 giant cockroaches
  3. 1d6 giant amoeba
  4. 1 trash golem (6HD, ac like leather, magic resistant)
  5. 1d6 slime people that ooze green stuff out of their eyes, yuck (3HD, can squirt their stuff out of their eyes, save against poison for radiation damage)
  6. 1 WIZARD

map key:

1: The main entrance, the gaping abyss is glowing in an intense octarine color. on the ceiling is a rick and morty-esque portal that sometimes spews some garbage. The main area is pretty dangerous. Every 10 minutes, save against poison or take 1 temporary con damage. If a player looses 3 points this way, roll on a mutation table! (my recommendation: the metamorphica 1d400)

2: There are caltrops on the floor! picking them up will not remove every single one, except if they spend a huge amount of time to clear them up. If they spend cleaning the area up, it will reduce the propability to step into a caltrop to 1 in 3.

3: A trashgolem is chilling here.  If players search the room, they can find Just A Bit Less Than a Handful Of Fingers (see magictrash)

4: A single wizard with a ring of sustenance. Does not want to leave his cell. He is unwilling to tell why.

5: An old abadoned part of a mine. 7 Possumpeople are chilling here. They are very distrustful of people. They will bite you, if you touch em. Are easy to impress with literal garbage. They will trade Squiggly Dagger +1 (see magictrash) for other trash or curious magical item.

6: This room, once a break room, now serves as a sleeping place for the possums. They don't want you there. They hide a priced jar of pickes there and will defend it with their life.

7: This trap door was used as an obliette before, with chains and all, and now is the storage/garbage dump of the possums. There is a small but actually wery precious looking chest with a X-tra Large Goblin Tooth (see magictrash) resting inside.

8: Before this stairway is a sign saying there is "epic loot just up the stairs". Different from the rest of the area around the abyss, the edge between the abyss and stairway is made out of metal. On one of the steps is a mechanism that will retract the steps and the metal plate. People in the stairway will slide down into the abyss, lmao.
